BRDGS (pronounced "Bridges") is the solo project of Newfoundland-raised,Toronto-based singer/songwriter/producer Jon Pike. He is quickly earning a reputation as an artist to watch, thanks to his skilful blending of electronic pop and acoustic singer/songwriter stylings.
Last year's debut BRDGS single, "In The Wild," caught the Canadian music industry's attention by reaching No. 28 on the Canadian Top 40 chart. An infectious piece of modern pop, it won both the iHeartRadio Future Star and Newcap Trending Track programs last November.
Now he's destined to make many more friends with "All My Friends," a charming and compelling new cut co-written with Jodi Guthro and featuring production by Corey LeRue (Neon Dreams). Atop staccato beats and a catchy groove, BRDGS laments the fact that all his friends posting on social media have "picture-perfect" lives: "Posting pictures in the south, sipping on pina coladas, meanwhile I sleep on a couch, I got nothing figured out." Rather than slipping into self-pity, though, he decides to "raise a toast to the real life."
BRDGS has also earned a reputation as an energetic and charismatic performer, and he has impressed in opening slots for such acts as Virginia To Vegas, Ria Mae and Neon Dreams. Look for 2018 to be a breakout year for this exciting young artist.
